Kim Ruff- Prolific Stellar Award Winning Singer/Songwriter/producer

She hails from Vidalia, Georgia and attended Solomon Tabernacle Baptist church all through her childhood where she sang in the choir since the age of 8. Throughout her childhood and teenage years Kim sang in various groups, choirs and even a few plays. She won the Title Miss Black Teen of Vidalia, Georgia when she was 15.

Kim has four sisters and two brothers. She is very close to her family.

Her mother, the late Sarah Nell Patterson Lane was a strong matriarch and raised all of her children to be high achievers and fear the Lord. It was her mother’s influence and level of high expectations for her children, that made Kim want to use her gifts and talents for the Lord. In 1998 her mother passed away from Breast Cancer. As a result, Kim knew she had to find her destiny and found extraordinary strength to write her full album and become a National Recording Artist.

Her Debut Album, released almost a decade later titled “Ready to Live” represented  so much more than just a mere project. Aside from being inspired by God, Kim dedicated the album to the legacy of her mother.  The album garnered two stellar award nominations: New Artist of the Year and Contemporary Female Artist of the Year (the category included Kim Burrell, Kiki Kierra Seard and Sunday Best Winner Crystal Aiken.Kim is a prolific songwriter and can literally write a song on the spot. She enjoys reading, writing, dancing and singing. Kim is very, very talented. She has a larger than life personality and never meets a stranger.

She has a strong personality as she believes in standing up to what she is passionate about and will tell the truth in love. Kim does not believe in Big I’s and little U’s and treats everybody with the same dignity and respect.  She would like for people to remember her as being someone who loves God and people and sincerely wants everyone to find their
purpose and peace through our Lord and Savior, once that is accomplished, everything else will line up.

Gospel Historian Bob Marovich said "While enjoying Kim Ruff’s singing on her debut CD, Ready to Live, I
discovered something even more striking than her pleasant, pop-influenced
voice:

"She’s one heck of a songwriter."The Georgia native and 2010 Stellar-nominated artist has Diane Warren’s touch
with a melody: simple, lovely, memorable.  Singers in the sacred and secular
arenas would give their eye-teeth to wrap their chops around some of the
compositions on Ready to Live.

Kim has made Television appearances on TBN(Trinity Broadcasting Network), Rejoice in the Word(The Word Network), GMC(Gospel Music Channel), and Atlanta Live(WATC).

Kim has shared the stage with Grammy award winner, Donnie McClurkin, Lamar Campbell, Stephen Hurd,  Sean Simmonds,  Dorothy Norwood, Lee Williams and the Spiritual QC's just to name a few.
